Tonight our “palm” branches became an Easter Tree.
We each wrote down what Jesus’ sacrifice meant to us and what we could give during our fast as a sacrifice for Him.
We folded up our notes and put them inside eggs and tied them to our Easter Branches.
I didn’t read the notes, but I saw Apple Pie’s. She wrote “I ❤️Gesus”

Zeke: I learned how to butter my toast all by myself.
(Shows bread with slab of butter 1/4 inch thick over the entire surface.)
Man of the House: That’s great but I think you have more butter than you need. Let’s take some off.
Zeke: ok but I need more than a little bit.

Day 17 of quarantine: it’s not safe to look anywhere in this house. #restlessteens #aprilfools #quarantinelife #gottee

Pumpkin Pie:Mom you took my spot on the couch.
Me: Your spot? All spots here are MY spots.

Playing a game they made up where they roll a dice and hop squares. Different colors mean different things- red is “penalty” blue is “challenge” yellow means they get to roll 2 dice on their next turn. #mychildrenaregeniuses #quarantineisclothingoptional

Keyhole garden ready for strawberry plants.
Whew, the asparagus planting did not go so well today. The rocks were horrible. Tears were shed. So, we settled with about 70 plants instead of 100.

We’ll get the strawberries in tomorrow.
My workout plan from now until eternity is shoveling wood chips.
Homeschool PE is picking up rocks forever.

Best fossil find picking up rocks.

Blueberry Pie: “How do big asparagus farms plant all their asparagus?”
Me: “They have tractors….. and slaves.”
Blueberry Pie: “Wow, Mom, you’re halfway there.”

Weenie Roast in the backyard in the rain. #quarantinelife

Don’t freak out. All those people live in the same house, so we aren’t breaking any gathering rules 😘

August in Waterton, Alberta
Above me, wind does its best
to blow leaves off
the aspen tree a month too soon.
No use wind. All you succeed
in doing is making music, the noise
of failure growing beautiful.
